I came across a YouTube video titled “LIFE IN ARGENTINA” The Country of EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL and OPEN WOMEN - DOCUMENTARY that, in my opinion, does a better job than most at capturing day-to-day reality here.

It’s an easy 20-minute watch. Yes, the peso exchange rate mentioned is outdated (we’re now hovering around ~1400 ARS to 1 USD), but beyond that, I found little to disagree with.

As a simplistic guide to urban life in Argentina—particularly Buenos Aires—it’s surprisingly on target.
Speaking as an anthropologist, I found several observations genuinely worth deeper study. What stood out most was the depth of understanding the creator shows regarding the rhythms, contradictions, and adaptive behaviors of the porteño population.

It’s rare to see an outsider (assuming they are) grasp not just the economics, but the social logic—how people actually navigate inflation, uncertainty, and opportunity here.

Thanks! I will watch this tonight. I find the females in Argentina to be really sexy, intelligent and playful. They can have a bit tougher exterior sometimes or a bit of attitude. But I like that. I have dated a few girls there and I don't find them as girly girl like in Colombia or Brazil but I like them the most out of all the other places in Latin America I have visited.

I think the girls here are too stuck up. A lot of the girls I met there had European passports. I just didn't see that they were too interested in foreigners like you see in other countries. When I went to Brazil and Colombia I had a huge advantage but in Argentina I didn't think girls were too friendly. A bit cold and standoffish.

What a bait and switch! I thought it was going to be about girls and not too much about "open women". Although they did say that prostitution is the only way for many girls to make it. Terrible and sad.

So I feel like I can speak well about this having dated a few Argentines while living there.

Porteñas are smart and playful. Sexy too. But just can be a pain in the ass too. Many are difficult.

@xfiltrate thanks for posting the video. Just watched it. I agree with almost all of it. Argentineans are really easy. Sex isn't a big deal to them. I was seriously dating a great girl and the main dealbreaker was she kept cheating on me. She doesn't think sex is a big deal. I told her I wasn't ok with her sleeping with others and ultimately it ended our relationship. A lot of her friends were the same way with lovers even though they had boyfriends or even husbands.

I dated another girl and the same thing happened. Call me old fashioned. Some of my friends tell me that I won the lotto with her as she said I could sleep with other girls too. But I am not into that. My last girlfriend not only slept with other guys but she would fool around with her best female friend!
