Decline in birth rates in Argentina

I know how you feel @Digital Nomad. I got laid off on Tuesday. I've been trying to find another remote gig but seems like the market all of a sudden just died for remote jobs. All my friends working remote are getting called back or just got a notice they are laid off. What is going on??

Newcomer Mosquitoes in Buenos Aires during the summer?

I just got this in some BA newsletter today. Looks like my decision to skip out on Buenos Aires was a good one. If it's not black outs or dog poop all over it's bug invasions...

Sounds like the government is planning for a lot of power blackouts this summer

Doesn't sound like the problem has gotten any better. BA? No thanks. Impossible for digital nomad if power is going down so much. https://strategicenergy.eu/buenos-aires-blackout-exposes-lack-of-high-voltage-grid-investment/

Favorite neighborhoods for Expats to live in Buenos Aires? With the best vibe and characteristics for me?

Wrong. I never came to Buenos Aires. I cancelled and changed my ticket a few times. There was a mosquito invasion the first trip and I'm severely allergic to mosquito bites. Then another time all my expat friends already left Buenos Aires because they said it was too expensive and the power...

Medical Clinic recommendation to get STD (sexually transmitted disease) and STI (sexually transmitted infection) blood testing?

That is IF they pay. Guys are jerks. This guy that got my girlfriend pregnant told her he won't help financially. He is broke anyway. He told her to get an abortion. Times like this makes me wish I was a lesbian.

Economy After approaching its record, Bitcoin fell to about USD 66,200: how much can it reach according to specialists - Infobae

Bitcoin has been a very blah investment the past few years. I have a friend that bought it at the peak 5 years ago and with what it is trading at now is disappointing he said.

Banking Getting dollars into Argentina to purchase real estate

This is terrible! Trying to picture all of this and you would think this would be an isolated incident but I have read alot of posts on expat websites about people going through the same experience being forced to carry bags of cash in the street to their closing. I wouldnt' believe it if so...

Medical Clinic recommendation to get STD (sexually transmitted disease) and STI (sexually transmitted infection) blood testing?

I know! But he threw it all out there. Aren't you worried about getting a girl pregnant? My girlfriend just got pregnant here in Spain from a hook up. She is debating on keeping it or not. I'd think that would scare you more than STD's!

Economy Bus fare increase: the Government announced that it will also "correct" subsidies in AMBA

What a difference between cities. Why are bus fares so cheap in Buenos Aires compared to other cities?

Blow to the wine industry: Bodega Norton went bankrupt

Wow almost 42% in taxes?? No wonder someone told me they were in London and a particular bottle of Argentine wine was cheaper in London vs. BA. But do they not charge export taxes?

    Newcomer Customs tips at Ezeiza?

My friends from the USA moved there a few years ago and they had many of the same things. They did not have any problems at customs. My friend Karla had 6 suitcases.

Did many expats move out of Buenos Aires due to the higher cost of living?

My friend just went back to Buenos Aires for a visit from Spain and she said it was totally dead. Not many tourists at all.
