New wave of shutdowns and layoffs puts Argentine industry on alert

Yes, a good friend of mine works at the Ford plant in Pacheco. outside of Tigre. They have a massive amount of cars sitting on the lot that they did not have a year and a half ago. With the massive inflation, people were buying cars and spending money. Large layoffs will probably happen soon...

If the Argentina peso is truly overvalued

I don't know but Dollar App is great and I've started to use it. It has rates above the blue and MEP as well as what credit card company charges. I recommend it.

If the Argentina peso is truly overvalued

Most don't get charged that, they buy using mep or use dollar app. The ones who pay for Netflix with the augmented foreign number are the ones who never get ahead.

Travel Buquebus vs. Colonia Express – Best Option for Uruguay Trip?

I enjoy the back deck on the Buquebus to enjoy a nice breeze. The Colonia Express lacks the outdoor feature. For that reason I choose Buquebus everytime because I like to lean into the wind and tell myself I'm free.

Newcomer What are some good movies to watch on Netflix to learn Spanish and watch some of the local culture that feature Buenos Aires?

Homo Argentum starring the great Guillermo Francella is in theaters now. It is a a bunch of vignettes of him doing Argentine stereotypes. I reccomend anyone to go see it in theaters right now. You will be surrounded by a bunch of people laughing very hard. 10/10 cultural experience.

If you’re going to Iguazú Falls… do you have to stop by Ciudad del Este?

If you are interested in Engineering or the smuggling of contraband(just seeing it as people cross the bridge) it is worth the trip. It helped me understand the concept of a border on a deeper level. It is also worthwhile to tour the Itaipu dam as it is the largest in the America's and powers...
