What are the dream companies to work for in Argentina?

Last week I spent a week with my girl in Manhattan, (We are spending the Summer in the USA) and we had no sticker shock on food prices, which I usually do when I am there. One can dine out cheap in NYC, but not in BA. It was nice to get her a shock. I first came in 2022 on a University study...

Argentinian tech workers have a strong reputation abroad and Mercado Libre is a cause of that. Some like working for them and others don't, like any company. My partner has worked in tech and now works abroad for Mexico. But she would get recruited by ML all the time. Telecom is very popular for...

Where to find Ficciones by Borges?

All these places mentioned are great. My personal favorite is the book stands at Plaza Italia in Palermo by la Rural. Around 30 book stands with very knowledgable open on any given day. Plenty of great used copies of booksI'd also recommend some other greats of Argentinian literature who do...

Does anyone else find it strange Argentina still thinks they won the Falklands War?

As USA citizens, most of us of have friends and family for many generations who have gone to war. Giving an appreciation for the power of the military. In some sense it has desensitized us to the horrors of war while also making many us very anti-war. From an outsider, the claim to the Islands...

Oasis at the River Plate Stadium

I prioritize sound always. It will sound the best by the soundboard or behind the delay towers in campo at the back like Jupiter said or Baja sivori. At a stadium or arena, If you want to actually SEE them you need to spend the money to buy campo up front or closest to the stage on the sides...

Newcomer What are some good movies to watch on Netflix to learn Spanish and watch some of the local culture that feature Buenos Aires?

Guillermo Francella is outrageously funny, you look at his face and you start laughing. Mi Obra Maestro is good. Casado con Hijos, the Argentine Married with Children is a full of cultural references. Highly recommend it.
