Wow what an awful person. She sounds proud of how much trauma she's putting her children through. The fact there's no quotes or anything from her husband tells you how miserable he is. From the pictures he could have done so much better.

If you are going to marry a latina with all the drama that entails at least marry a beautiful one who makes it worthwhile not like this ugly woman. He would have been better off marrying whatever drunk he found passed out behind the local pub.

Beyond that, I think the couple are adults who are making decisions with eyes wide open and both have made sacrifices in order to be together, and for their family. Yes, the kids didn't have a choice, but how many of us are still friends with people we know from that age? The parents certainly made sacrifices for the kids as well. There should no guilt involved in their decisions, and no judgement. I think it's fine to say we might do things differently, especially if we pick specific statements the author made to comment on. However, our decisions are not always based one thing and when we write something for others to read, the complete truth is not always shared.

With that said, she wrote what she wrote and published it, so surely she knows there will be supportive and critical comments. Personally, I would not have published it.

I don't think she is "awful". Just because she wanted to move back to her home country. I do question what her husband will do and if they will make enough to survive. She said it well that Argentina is NOT a first world country. It's not. I don't think it is nice to call that woman ugly. The story is a realistic picture of what many Argentines go through that love their country and want to be close to their families.

Unfortunately I know many that have left instead of coming back.

She might be looking for attention or to find a job or make money from the story. Life is VERY hard in Buenos Aires. I think she made a mistake if her husband have good job in Europe. This is not place to raise kids if you have no job and not much money.

I am lucky my family always support me and help me. Our culture is very family based. We help one another. Many friends still live with their parent until they get married.

There are not so many opportunities here for locals forget about foreigner people. People think life very easy here but it is not. It true rentals much cheaper than in Europe but many things here are more expensive than Europe. I stayed in Spain many months this year and besides rent almost everything else cheaper than BA now. Some much more expensive.

I tried to get my ex boyfriend to move to Spain with me. Many more opportunities there but he too close with his mom and refuse to move.
