Pilar's real estate market is undoubtedly one of the most active (and attractive) in Buenos Aires. A pioneer in gated community development back in the 1990s, it now boasts a wide variety of developments. “Pilar has a mass of people who moved to a gated community more than 20 years ago and whose children grew up here,” says Germán Mieres, director of Mieres Properties . “And now, perhaps their children have grown up and are looking to move within Pilar, leaving the big house in the gated community, but without giving up everything they've grown accustomed to about life in Pilar. That's where these housing projects or townhouses emerge as an excellent alternative,” he adds.
