Thus, an average two-bedroom, 170 m² house is valued at US$292,887, while a three-bedroom, 260 m² house reaches US$476,269.
Regarding the sales price per square meter of an apartment, it stood at US$2,416 in May, according to Zonaprop. Thus, an average studio apartment of 40 m² is valued at US$106,000; a one-bedroom apartment of 50 m² has an average value of US$127,000; finally, a two-bedroom apartment of 70 m² reaches US$176,000.
Which banks offer mortgage loans for building a house?
Among the Argentine banks that lend money for home construction is Hipotecario. With an interest rate of 10.9% for the salary plan and capital adjusted by UVA (UVA), the institution lends up to 80% of the construction budget, for a maximum term of 240 months (20 years), a maximum amount of $250,000,000, and a 25% income-to-income ratio.

Another fact that reflects the impact is that current costs already exceed the historical peak recorded in April 2018 , when building a 315 m² home cost US$572,279.56.
