From showing animals for profit to protecting them: the reinvention of Buenos Aires zoo

The zoo here was very pathetic. And worse after it closed many animals died. The government can't even take care of it's people so I don't hold high hope for animals. They treat it's citizens like animals now. Out of all the things to do in Buenos Aires, going to the Zoo shouldn't be on anyone's list.

I would have to agree with you completely Larry about the pathetic state of the zoo before. That zoo was really bad and I felt sorry for the animals. Definitely agree shouldn't be on anyone's list of things to see. I never went back after they closed down. I remember when over 100 animals died after they closed. I don't think animals should be held in these enclosures.
