Buildings with a SUM? What are they?

I am looking to buy an apartment in Buenos Aires and I noticed some of the listings say SUM. None of the buildings I looked at earlier this year had one but I see some listings on Zonaprop that say SUM. What are they? What is the purpose of them?

Here we have them in some buildings. It is like multi-purpose room. Here we say Salon de Usos Múltiples. Usually they have in newer buildings. It is for the tenants of the building. Usually you can rent it for low cost for events or parties.

Yes as @Avocado mentioned, they are mostly in newer buildings and a lot of high rises have them. They are nice to have but a lot of buildings don't do them now as they would rather take that space and make a few apartments out of it. I've owned in buildings with them and they are great. I did my kids birthday parties in a few of them when I lived in BA. Or my daughter's Baptism party. Some of them are really great and in the high rises the view is great so they are great for a party. You usually pay some small fee and can rent it out.
