Newcomer Any Entertainment spots for a guys night out?

I have been in Buenos Aires for a few weeks and the nightlife is insane. It is a very late-night town which is hard to get used to for those of us from Canada. I've been here almost 3 weeks and I'm still adjusting to the late-night scene. The discos don't really get going until 2 AM. I went to Afrika Club but it's not too big and the guy at the door wanted 100,000 pesos to get in as there was a huge line.

The music was great. And I figured out if you go early before 12:30 PM then you can easily get in. I slipped the same guy from before $50 US dollars and now when I go he always lets me in. Even when there is a line. Great atmosphere.

The girls there are beautiful and several I talked to were locals that spoke English. But many girls there didn't speak English or maybe they just didn't want to talk to me but they said they only spoke Spanish. I'm 39 years old. I really need to learn Spanish ASAP! I thought more people in Buenos Aires would speak English but many taxi and Uber drivers don't speak any English. I'm not complaining at all and I know I am in their country. Most of my Uber drivers are from Venezuela.

Does anyone know of any strip clubs in Buenos Aires for males? I read in the Women's section someone posted a male strip club for a girl's night out and it got me thinking.

Buenos Aires back after the last financial crash had a TON of "clubs". Over the past 21+ years, most of them have closed but there is one "Club" that is still around although they don't advertise it and no signs. It's a normal restaurant until early evening and then it turns into a Club -strip club amongst other things.

Locals don't pay to enter. I've brought friends in town that wanted to come and I know the owner and manager for over 20 years. So he never charges an entrance fee but I heard tourists have to pay $100 US to enter which includes your first drink. The club has strippers that go around from stage to stage. And females from Buenos Aires hang out there too if you know what I mean.

Thank you earlyretirement! I will check it out tonight! Are drink prices insane? I will send you a DM as I have a few questions!
I got your DM and answered. No, the drink prices aren't outrageous. For girls drinks it's around $10 to $20 US each. So while not cheap they aren't crazy either. Definitely expensive for Buenos Aires standards. My advice would be to make friends with the doormen if you're going back multiple nights in a row. I think they charge most tourists to enter but if you tip the doorman as you are leaving then he will usually let you in the next night without paying a cover. I have never paid a cover charge to enter in 21 years of going to Buenos Aires but I'm fluent and I tip the guys on the way out.

The best waitress in there is Yvonne so ask for her and tip her generously. She has worked there for 10 years. I don't go in there much at all. Only when a client/investor is looking for nightlife. But the manager there I've known from the Madaho days when I took clients there. So I have known him for 21+ years.

If you tip the doorman well then they will make room for you no matter what. Usually when I go in, even if tourists are sitting down, the manager will ask them to get up. I feel bad but do accept his offer to find seating. The last time the tourist was so confused and the manager told him that, "The owner is here and pointed to me". Ha, ha. We just have that inside joke every time he does it.

Great post! We Irish like to get our drink on! And like pretty girls too so this is what we call a 2 fer. Let us know how it goes Canada Goose. I am going to Buenos Aires in December and I could use all the intel I can get.

Wow, wow, wow! I went last night. Thank you earlyretirement!!! I got your DM. Per your request, I won't post too many details about this but people can DM me.

Let's just say I went at 12:30 AM and it was great as it wasn't too busy and I could still get a seat. They were going to charge me a cover charge but I took earlyretirement's advice and went to his manager friend. I handed him $40 US discreetly and told him earlyretirement said hello and he immediately escorted me in and got me a a good seat. I asked for Yvonne and once she found out I was a friend of earlyretirement she helped me all night. She speaks perfect English.

I just took my vacation from great vacation to DREAM vacation! The place by 3 AM was absolutely packed with no room to sit. The manager came and checked in on me a few times. Wow.

Drink prices were reasonable. I bought a few drinks for myself and the girl that sat next to me and all in the bill was $90 US. I don't think you need Tinder. A few girls asked for my Whatsapp. I didn't even know you could just scan a QR code. A girl showed me and scanned my #. I invited her to lunch and we are going out tomorrow.

Thank you for posting an update. I just sent you a DM. Will you be in town on December 10? That is when I hit town and I'd love to buy you a drink and we can come here together. Or if you won't be in town still, earlyretirement can you give me an intro to your Manager friend?

IrishLad,

I'm not sure if you want a third wheel but I'm happy to meet up too. I will still be here December 10. DM me.

i was walking around and saw a "Beach Club" and it made me wonder if it was a strip club or brothel :p and for CanadaGoose: i also was shocked that 90% of people don't seem to want to learn English. it seems like Argentinos don't really travel very far? guess it would be hard, coming from a place with a weak currency (conversely, for Norwegians and Swiss, they can travel almost anywhere and save $)

I haven't heard of Beach Club. From what I heard, Buenos Aires used to have many "clubs" of all sorts but most were closed down several years ago. I am not sure if 90% is accurate. Most restaurants I go into or stores people speak some English. Also, I have met many educated Argentines and most of them all speak English. So it depends where you are meeting them. Even many of the taxi drivers I get have spoken some English.

I don't expect them to learn English as we are in their country. But I've had good luck so far. I went into the club the other night and several girls spoke English. Argentines used to travel all over in the 1 $: 1 peso days. If you look at an Argentine passport from back then they traveled all over. Much of Latin America hates Argentines because of how arrogant they used to be traveling around.

Now it's very expensive and difficult for Argentines to travel anywhere. Their government was penalizing them as well for traveling and put higher exchange rates for them if they used their credit cards abroad. Hopefully this changes under Milei.

I have been coming to Argentina for the past 2 decades. BA today is a shadow of its former glory days. BA used to be one of the best spots around the world for night life and party scene for guys. It is still good but most of it isn't in your face like it used to be. I used to stay at the Alvear Palace hotel in a swanky suite and then walked across the street to Black's which was an upscale gentlemen's club. You could meet up with girls and bring them back to your hotel. BA was chock full of these type of clubs.

I think they mostly have vanished and switched to all WhatsApp model.

Ha! Yes, those were truly the "glory days". As a younger single male in my late 20's when I first came to Buenos Aires it was paradise! I started a huge investment company and we mostly had investors when they were in town that wanted to let loose and go to those types of Clubs. I knew the owner of Blacks, Madaho's and many other Clubs.

I think Rio de Janeiro was probably the only other better city for a single (or married) male in the early 2000's. I owned an apartment there too so I was going down every few weeks. It was some crazy times!

I walked by there weekend. I was having a pizza at the corner restaurant and I heard some music blasting and wondered what it was. I couldn't see inside of it. It was funny as every so often I'd see beautiful girls coming out of the place. Now I know.
