The Government Administration of Public Revenue (AGIP) has added a new tool to settle ABL (taxable income tax) or patent debts. This is a 100% online tool that reaches more than 200,000 taxpayers.
This was announced by the AGIP in a statement , stating that this is an instrument that seeks to simplify procedures, streamline processes, and facilitate tax compliance in the City .

The measure, which will specifically affect 234,000 taxpayers , allows those with a credit balance from the Gross Income Tax to use it to offset debts from the Real Estate Tax/ABL (a tax levied on all properties located in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and requires payment of an annual tax divided into 12 monthly installments), Patents, or the Gross Income Tax itself.
In the same statement, they specify that it is a simple and 100% online process. "You can access the New Tax Current Account using your City Code, where the taxpayer must select Transactions and then Offset Balance. From there, you can choose the debt you want to pay off and apply the available credit balance, with no limit. The system processes the transaction automatically, and the result is instantly effective," they add.

What benefits are there in the Province for property tax?
In the case of the Province of Buenos Aires, the Buenos Aires Urban Property Tax applies to both built-up and vacant properties . Of the 7,298,887 properties affected, 5,254,335 correspond to built-up urban property, 1,735,111 to vacant urban property, and 309,441 to rural properties. For built-up urban property, the schedule provides for five installments throughout the year .
In 2025, ARBA reintroduced the discounts for on-time payments and direct debit payments , which were eliminated last year. Each discount provides a 5% discount , combinable with each other, which can mitigate the impact of the increase. Therefore, the discounts would be as follows:
- 10% discount: For those who choose to pay installment by installment. In this case, they can access a 5% discount if they opt for automatic debit. Additionally, like those who pay annually, they can add an additional 5% discount if they are taxpayers with no outstanding debts.
- 5% discount: For those who do not subscribe to automatic debit but instead pay monthly, but have no debts.
