IMF Agreement: The Government Will Send a DNU to Congress to Obtain Support

I read the post by Cristina. She makes some good points. I was willing to give Milei a chance but it seems like the further he is going into his Presidency the more he is going against what he said he would do. He is keeping the dollar artificially low and the peso strong. No one can deny that...

President Milei’s surprising devotion to Judaism and Israel provokes tension in Argentina and beyond

That is probably it but he has to be careful because he is taking so many trips. We have a lot of problems in Argentina. These trips seem like a distraction.

What happens if Argentina gets too expensive? What are alternative cities/countries to move to when it's overpriced in Argentina?

I have been away from the board for a while but I correctly guessed that people would be complaining about the prices. Beef going up last month by so much was too much. These companies are abusing consumers. I have been in Argentina for decades and during the 1:1 days during the 1990's and it...

President Javier Milei Lays out Blueprint for Dollarization in Argentina

You will notice that the President isn't talking about dollarization anymore. It was all a lie. No country wants to give us the money to do this.

Homicide, robbery and petty theft on the rise in Greater Buenos Aires

It's terrible now that thieves are smashing car windows like never before while people are in the car. This kind of thing was rare before but it's happening while people re driving in the car. Very scary to see this happening.

Overview of Argentina News for June 18, 2024

Yes my butcher told me the same thing. He say he never seen anything like this even after corralito. He said it's much worse now. Also, very bad when 51% of Argentines except conditions to et worse next year.

In Order not to be Poor a family needs to earn more than 989,000 pesos

I too appreciate your posts @Larry. I'm a long time lurker but I wanted to say thank you for your posts. Indeed it is tough now. This is my toughest time in 15 years living here. Food prices are higher than ever.

An Argentine went viral when he showed how much you can save with an average salary in Spain

Many are leaving because it's so expensive and salaries are so low here. Food has never been this expensive that I can recall in Buenos Aires.
