    I've been living in Buenos Aires for several years and haven't had any incidents. Sometimes I see reports of robberies on the news, but it seems that most of them occur on the outskirts of the city. I would also recommend choosing an apartment over a house for greater security.     If you go further south where it's colder, the houses are nice and cozy inside. I lived in Bariloche, and all the houses I visited were beautiful and comfortable inside. There are many cabins, and I never had any heating issues there.
