Newcomer Hi, are there any hotels that will let you use their pools for the day?

You can do it if you possess a bit of gumption and overlook a bit of moral fortitude! Go the front desk in your hotel of choice before check-in time opens and ask to leave your luggage whilst you head out to change some dollars before checking in. They will give you a ticket for your luggage...

Newcomer Store Closings: Ralph Lauren, Cartier, Escada, & Zenga

Newcomer Store Closings: Ralph Lauren, Cartier, Escada, & Zenga

Our store makes nothing. If I'm not mistaken, our monthly rent is $65,000 a month, the electricity around $650-$800. We are just curious as to what actually happens up until citizenship is officially granted. I know that you said there is a wait of about 7 months...

Newcomer Argentine Citizenship for foreigners: Can it really be this easy?

My friend has completed a significant part of the citizenship process. After publishing the judicial edict in the newspaper and providing fingerprints (twice), she's wondering about the next steps. Based on bajocero's post, it seems there are two reports that take about seven months. However...

Banking Opening a US bank account as a non resident

Does anybody know if things have changed since just in the past week Argentina has been declared a "major money laundering country"? Could this affect Argentine nationals opening bank accounts?

Banking Opening a US bank account as a non resident

This has changed during the last year. I am not sure it is possible anymore (although apparently existing accounts were grandfathered under the old regs). Do you have any knowledge of someone without a US tax ID number opening a new account in the last six months or so?
