Yet another copy cat with Trump by Milei.
Immigration Wasn’t an Issue in Argentina. Until It Became One
Argentina has often stood out for its openness to immigration. Under President Javier Milei, it has started to crack down...
I don't claim to know much about politics here but I have seen an explosion in prices just since Milei took over. Does it really take a charlatan @CraigM ? Looking at the relative wages it seems like people did better under Cristina. Am I missing something?
Meanwhile Milei in Washington DC with Trump.

I don't think that Argentines are hostile to blacks at all. Everyone is easy going but I do see amongst local friends they joke around a lot about blacks. You can see some examples in this guy's video but I like that they aren't politically correct sometimes and obsessed about that.
There is another strike coming up.
Beware anyone traveling in February.

It was a good run while it lasted. Looks like the days of living in Argentina while just paying an overstay fee over and over are over.

Going to the supermarket definitely is not a joyful experience here.
I don't understand how the supermarkets are so terrible here. Maybe all these years of socialism has ruined things but it is unbelievable how bad they are. Anywhere else in Latin America is very good. I was just in Paraguay...
Saw this. Anyone know if they are turning away perma-tourists that keep overstaying? I saw a few posts about people that were warned that they won't be allowed in again but haven't read any posts of getting turned away?
I would think if they can keep a fiscal balance and spend less than they take in they should improve. But still can't see how they will pay off all their tens of billions in debt? Consumers are not spending. Maybe through agriculture? Milei seems to be trying to keep his friendships with...
Solid sign that things are improving. Will Argentina be able to get themselves out from all of these payments they owe. I assume they can only pay them with more debt rolled over?
