I agree that expats get more than they give. If they gave more than they got, they'd go some place else. And the choices for expats aren't simply here or back home...many countries to choose from. Flip the table around. Argentina benefits from expats. The get more than they give as well...

I know, birthday parties here -- for kids, and adults too -- are out of control. Just thank your lucky stars you're no ones Godparent -- otherwise your gifts would have to be above and beyond everyone elses, you'd foot the bill for the baptism, and pretty much any other major occasion in life...
