Thank you Argentina on behalf of all Russians that moved here to Buenos Aires!

What I noticed is the Russians blend in well and most of them pick up languages easily. Their Spanish is quite good. I walk by the Park and there is a big group of Russians all with young kids.

Legal Any risk to constantly overstaying on tourist visa? How many times can you do border runs in Argentina?

One of my friends that has been living here since covid just got rejected from entering back. She paid the overstay fee a few times when she had to go back to the UK to visit her parents. She recently went to Brazil and came back and they rejected her. She is going to try to fly to Uruguay...

The rain of dollars and the end-of-the-world refuge - Argentina is one of the best places on the planet in a global war scenario

If you are interested in doomsday scenarios check out the book, On the Beach. They made it into a movie too. I saw the movie before I read the book. Stanley Kramer's movie On the Beach came out in 1959, and I went to see it right away. Because of its powerful message, the studio promoted it...

Argentina Exempts CBI Citizens From Automatic Tax Residency in New Law

Without this change I doubt any wealthy would want Citizenship here because they would be taxed on worldwide assets.

New wave of shutdowns and layoffs puts Argentine industry on alert

I wasn't sure if this was correct but just looked it up on ChatGPT and it shows the data is correct. Wages were higher under Cristina. It seems like a domino effect and hundreds of thousands of jobs disappeared since Milei started. Sounds like the work risk insurance companies are starting to...

Just saw on the news about this. A letter bomb just exploded at the Gendarmerie School: two officers were taken to Argerich Hospital with injuries after the explosion.

The chances of the Argentine economy falling into recession already reach 99%, according to Di Tella University

I don't think it takes some expert panel from a University to tell you that things are terrible here!

Anyone know prices of assisted living centers or nursing homes in Buenos Aires?

There aren't many of these here in BA and many of them charge that monthly fee mostly for rent and then extra for doctors, therapists, nurses and medicine. One in Nuñez that a friend sends her mother is $8,000 dollars a month. I am not sure how expensive they get in the US but some I heard...

Decline in birth rates in Argentina

Argentina had one of the biggest drops in fertility rates in the world. Just like other counties it is going to have huge problems in the future if people don't have more kids. The only ones having kids here seem to be the Russians that all seem pregnant or have multiple young kids.

Argentina President Javier Milei just sat with President Trump to sign the Board of Peace Accord

This cracks me up. Milei certainly beats to his own drum.

Thoughts on relocating to Mendoza from CABA

Bummer. It is so beautiful there. Unless you have to be here for work or prefer very large cities I think Mendoza would be ideal.

New wave of shutdowns and layoffs puts Argentine industry on alert

Agree. I don't think it is the government's job to protect industries. That is what Trump wants to do but if the USA did that and brought manufacturing to the US then cost of thinks would be crazy high just like they were in Argentina. You will see $300 dollar shirts like you can see in...

Thoughts on relocating to Mendoza from CABA

Did you make the move @Jakoval? I just visited Mendoza and loved it. Costs are much lower there and quality of life is higher. Great views and lifestyle. Less hectic and slower pace of life and less pollution and noise.
