    Questions About Milei’s Disability Policy

Hi everyone, I’m trying to understand what’s happening with the disability sector under Milei’s government. I have friends with children who have different pathologies, and they tell me that therapies are being cut. These therapies are essential for the children’s development, but now social...

Congress will debate a bill to change Argentina's time zone. (set clocks back one hour and return them to -04 GMT)

Haha, I also like it when we’re closer to New York time, it just feels less weird for calls or meetings. But yeah, the Argentine nightlife would take a hit… going out for dinner at 11 PM wouldn’t be the same.

Being Black in Argentina: Experiences and Acceptance

In my experience living in Buenos Aires, people don’t really pay attention to race. Interracial couples are common, and most interactions are friendly and respectful.

Is it really that dangerous to go to the stadium? What went wrong at Independiente yesterday?

From what I’ve read, the Chilean barra brava has a long history of violent incidents. Argentine fans aren’t exactly angels either, but in this case it seems like the trouble started with the Chilean side, which triggered the reaction from Independiente fans.

Moving to Buenos Aires with Teenagers - What type of social activities are there?

Totally understand your concerns, moving a teenager is a huge emotional leap, not just a logistical one. We made the move with our teenage daughter a few years ago, and I’ll be honest, the first couple of months were rough. She went from being super social in the U.S. to feeling isolated here...

What’s Going On With Bariloche’s Snow This Year?

I’ve read that this is hitting tourism really hard, locals are practically begging for the snow to finally arrive. Meteorologists say it might come this weekend, but so far it’s been a really bad and sad season for them...

Has anyone watched the Menem series?

I loved it! Super entertaining and actually helped me understand some of the chaos of the 90s here, convertibility, privatizations, all that. Plus, the guy playing Menem nailed the voice 😄

Looking for ceramic/pottery workshops for my wife – any tips?

Hey everyone! I’m based in Palermo with my wife, who’s totally into anything artsy, she loves crafts, handmade stuff, pottery, all that. She’s been talking about finding a ceramic or pottery workshop where she can learn and get her hands dirty. We’re in Palermo, but she’s totally fine with...

What are the dream companies to work for in Argentina?

In the U.S. we don’t have anything like the “aguinaldo”, those mandatory extra payments twice a year. Bonuses depend on the company and they’re not required by law. That’s a major difference! Good for employees in Argentina, now I get why everyone was so excited about the famous aguinaldo. LOL.

Where are Argentines traveling? Spoiler: it’s not just Miami…

I did a 5-day trip to Rio and honestly, with a budget airline and some planning, I spent less than a long weekend in Bariloche. Brazil always hits the spot, warm weather, good food, beach.

Trump & Elon: From bromance to... cold shoulder?

This is getting really intense. Elon dropping these kinds of public accusations is a major shift, especially since he was one of the biggest business backers of Trump during much of his campaign. But yeah, challenging Elon publicly definitely comes with consequences… and now it looks like he’s...

Poverty has no limit in Argentina

Speaking of numbers and statistics, INDEC published today the poverty rate, which by the way, has decreased significantly, it went from 52.9% to 38.1%.. although for many it’s still a struggle, I believe we’re on the right track...

Is it possible to live in Buenos Aires without a driver's license?

In fact, living without a car in Buenos Aires is often easier than with one. Parking spots are hard to come by! The city has an excellent public transportation system, including buses that run all day, as well as trains and the Metro, making it very convenient to get around.

Thoughts on relocating to Mendoza from CABA

I was in Mendoza a few months ago and had an amazing time, especially at the Termas de Cacheuta, such a great experience, highly recommended. I loved it so much that I want to go back. This year, I also want to visit Córdoba, I’ve heard it’s a beautiful place.

Travel Must-Haves: What Can’t You Compromise On?

I never stay in Palermo, if I’m traveling all this way, I don’t want to be surrounded by tourists. Also, Airbnb hosts who take cash in dollars? Always a plus!
