Argentina's Golden Passport Investment Option coming in 2026?

No strings or hassles and very very quick and immediate. If you are going to invest anyway it’s a great program. It will immediately get you it. Other countries were very successful with these problems and raised so much they had to shut it down. Excellent point Craig. I want to buy...

Bank account opening without DNI in 2025

No I didn't have to. I just had to give a copy of my passport but I don't think they do anything with that. I used an Escribano that just had me sign and I gave a copy of my passport but I think that was for her. No fingerprints were taken.

    Biometrical collection on borders

Not in my experience. In land borders they usually don't so it's easier to come in. But my lawyer said that they will probably start rolling that out so they do biometrics everywhere. Soon with biometrics there is no hiding.

A newsletter for expats in Buenos Aires

Well it doesn't sound like it is just postering. Seems like this time they mean it. Many that I know that have been living there forever are finally contacting immigration lawyers. I guess it's time to lawyer up.

Real estate sales are heating up: price increases of up to 20% are expected before the end of the year

You can easily spend a chunk of money at some nice Chinese restaurants now. Just a side of rice at some of the places in Chinatown are 10,000 pesos now. Almost $9 dollars.

Entering and Leaving on two different passports to game the system

Listen to the others. You will get flagged. Happened to a friend. Biometrics now is a game changer. With these databases and biometrics no more privacy and no more fraud. Very tough for criminals.

Socialtel Selina Palermo Soho Hostel & Cowork suddenly shut down in Palermo Soho

I know someone that works here too. They are angry and want answers. The hotel quietly asked their guests to leave earlier in the day and moved them to other places. The more I think things are changing, the more I see they are a the same.

    Citizenship rejected!

That must be frustrating. But other than voting you don't really lose any benefits do you @Jakoval and being able to fly in on an Argentine passport. Is there any other hidden benefits that you get?

Do Buenos Aires expats easily get scammed and gullible?

Surprised to hear this. If anything you would think that foreigners coming to a foreign country would stay clear of shady type investments. Can't believe there are multiple members that this happened to. And if there are 2 or 3 admitting it happened to them then there must be many people out...

Poverty has no limit in Argentina

I think the situation with poverty really is decreasing. Back before Milei started at the end of the month the grocery stores would be totally empty but now I see them busier even at the end of the month. Prices keep going up but at least things are a bit more stable up until now. I am not...
