A joke. In August 2024 the government said the inflation methodology was changing and it was a finished issue. Now they say "we need to wait for the disinflation process to consolidate before they can change the measurement methodology. This is straight up out of the K playbook.
From the sounds of it all of them will end up closing and there doesn't seem to be any fear at all. Caputo just admitted on an interview he has NEVER bought any clothes from Argentina in his life because it was a rip off. :ROFLMAO: I do feel bad for the workers losing their jobs but so far no...
We will see how much patience people have. I'm noticing on social media more people seem like they are losing steam and not getting to the end of the month.
Poor @Jenn would never make it here in the summer if she is allergic. I can't go without AC on non stop in the summer. Too hot and too humid. It is miserable in January and probably why everyone is outside of the city and takes the entire month off!
Send me where I can send my friends for all these jobs paying so high. Tons of my friends are unemployed and looking for jobs. The salaries look correct from this chart but not sure if the "average" is as high as they are saying except for professional jobs.
If you ask expats their answer probably will be different depending how close to the period of crises is. Argentina always goes through a crises every few years. Lots of expats liked it plenty fine when they could get a cheap steak and cost of living was low. It is worth putting up with all the...
Better grab the bag while he can. With the labor reform coming sounds like those will largely go away so probably won't get one in his next job. Good on him.
Speaking of Trump I saw this online and thought it was fake. This Presidency is like a cartoon. Are there any adults in the room? Reminds me of periods of Biden when no one was willing to speak out how he was sick. How can people around Trump watch all of this happening and do nothing? Never...
Sad to see poverty rates look like they are heading back up.
Poverty Rose Again at the End of 2025 Due to Higher Food Prices
Poverty increased to 32.5% in the fourth quarter of 2025, driven by rising basic food and living costs, which grew 4.1% in December, outpacing overall inflation...
Agree. I thought them raising the prices so much was supposed to prevent this from happening. Prices are honestly high compared to before. Get that they were cheap before but 4 times the price from just 2 years earlier and so many blackouts is frustrating.
