You don’t need to get a resident visa. Argentina is still very easy to stay without a visa by border runs and extending tourist visa. Most of my foreign friends have lived in BA with no problems.
Better not to even get on the radar of their tax authority AFIP
I am considering staying longer term in Argentina but I see that there is no double taxation treaty with the USA. Does anyone living here have experience with the tax situation for US citizens?
Rent a place for a few months and you''ll have a great part of your questions answered while here. Even for me, coming back to Argentina every year, several times a year on vacations to visit my family, did not prepare me enough for dealing with daily life and after moving back to BA and my...
I wish I could access credit to buy something here, it's a great time to and the rent prices aren't getting better anytime soon, keep seeing 600 USD+ for a bachelors as if that's remotely acceptable even if we weren't in 12.5% inflation
If you were married in Argentina, libreta de familia (with children's birth noted obviously) also works, so you don't need to carry the birth certificate.
If you anticipate that the children may need to travel with only one parent, you may also want to consider going to an escribano publico to...
You are you and your children are your children.
If they are born here, they will not be able to depart the country on a foreign passport.
If you move away and come here for visits, that is an exception. But if you live here - they will need an Argentine passport to exit and reenter the country...
The point of a "Rate My Professor" website is not to have some recourse. It is to spread the word about the good and the bad in order for consumers to make more informed choices. The real problem with this is the social aspect of recommendations by relationship...you are more likely to receive...
Percentage i think is even less than 0.5%. around 0.2%. i will see exactly what amount ends up after the transaction posts, in case my US bank deducts anything further.
I didn't even have to fill a form explaining the source of the funds. i presume because it was already in my dollar account here it didn't matter to banco frances?
this seemed like the best thread to share this story on, for those of you looking to transfer money out of argentina to the USA. my experience today was shockingly easy and fast.
i had a coworker recently do a wire of dollars to his US bank, so i was fortunate to have a guide on what to do. he...
Then there is McAfee who said he'd cut off an eat his own penis if buttcoin didn't hit $100k within (was either this year or next year). Doubters asked if he would add salt!
Plain fact is, as you stated, when more suckers are lured to the flame, governments will begin collecting their share by...
I do not think $1,500 is enough especially for a couple. Of course it all depends on definitions of well, etc. I think you can be comfortable. But, you won't be living great.
Definitely not cheaper. Convenient, yes; buying a computer where you are is by definition an order of magnitude more convenient than hauling it over from the US. But it'll cost you.
Chile is a much closer plane trip and prices approaching the ones in the US.
