Argentina’s small and medium-sized businesses brace for total devastation

Even more frustrating they usually have enough staff it's just that only 1 or 2 actually do any work. Same thing at fast food restaurants here. When I worked near the McDonald's at Tucuman and Florida id usually grab a coffee and 2 medialunas in the morning. There was always the same girl...

Argentina’s small and medium-sized businesses brace for total devastation

Less customers in supermarkets is a good thing. Maybe I can get in and out in less than 30 minutes Instead of waiting around in huge lines while one worker is at a checkout and 3 stand around doing nothing

Barrio Chino en Buenos Aires full of rats - Be careful!

Don't worry all restaurants have rats you just don't see them. They make your immune system strong. I remember working in a restaurant ( not in Argentina. ) At the end of the night we had huge piles of freshly cleaned plates lined up ready to be stored away and an enormous rat went speed...

How can I make something spicey

Imagine I make a chicken stir fry and I want to put something in to make it spicey. I have tried every product from carrefour with the word "picante" in it, does nothing. I've asked multiple specialist shops if they have anything to make the food spicey, they all say si si si then sell me...

Is rice better in Brazil ?

Idk but I bought an electric razor today and when I asked for a discount paying cash i got a very fast and firm "no.". I could have called their bluff and just walked out but I was feeling lazy and it would have been like a $5 discount anyway

I got some of the Doble Carolina rice today and I like it a lot more than the other supermarket rices I've tried, thanks 👍 👍

Is rice better in Brazil ?

Thanks have you tried the brand of Jasmine Rice in the picture you posted that's 11k pesos for a kilo ? How is it ? That price is a bit painful but I'll suck it up and buy it if the quality is decent. So that's in a shop in barrio chino ?

Is rice better in Brazil ?

I've never been to Brazil but I always hear how much better the fresh produce is there, actual fresh and top quality vegetables What about rice ? I love Argentina but I find the quality of rice deplorable. It's such a huge part of my culture it actually makes me depressed how bad it is. The...

Meat-loving Argentines shun beef as inflation bites

Is this "cheap chicken" in the room with us now ... Plain chicken breasts at my local carrefour are still expensive and awful quality compared to back home. I understand if people are giving up meat due to cost or living but switching to chicken in BA doesn't seem any cheaper to me unless I'm...
